Wow, I didn't realize how hard it would be to blog. I had full intentions of blogging yesterday, but lack of sleep got to me. In fact, it's still with me. I went through the chick-fil-la line today and picked me up some iced tea and a chicken sandwich. The kind, young lady at the drive through asked if I wanted grape or strawberry jelly. And what did I reply, "strape please." What! Just give me my caffiene please.
It's sleeting outside today. I just love this weather. I wish I was asleep, but I have so much to do to get ready for the weekend. Last night I took Lexi to a halloween festival. It was at our old church. ( I just love the sweet people there. No where else have we found such a loving congregation.) There were jumpers there, and O my soul, Lexi was in Heaven. She played so hard. She didn't want to leave, but she wore me out. We got to dress her in her cute fairy outfit. Can we say a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e. She loved it so much, I think she could have slept in it had I let her.
Today's scripture is so comforting. It comes from Psalm 16:5, "Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup, and have made my lot secure." How great is that. I don't have to worry about today or tommorrow. My Creator has planned my life. All things are for my good and glorify my Lord. What can I learn from things today? When things seem to be out of control, Lord, you have assigned my portion and my cup, you have made my lot secure. Praise You.
